Why Manchester United should sign Mohammed Kudus

Why Manchester United should sign Mohammed Kudus
Mohammed Kudus has been one of West Ham’s best players this season, but it’s clear he needs a bigger stage. A move to Manchester United makes perfect sense, especially under Ruben Amorim, where he could thrive in the ‘inside 10’ role. His dribbling, ball-carrying, and power are exactly what United’s midfield needs. At West Ham, Kudus is performing well, but the team around him isn’t hitting the same level. He’s often the one dragging them forward, and while that shows his quality, it also limits his growth. He needs to be in a team where he’s surrounded by better players and a clearer tactical structure, something United are looking to build under their next manager.

One of the biggest questions is why United went for Antony instead of Kudus in the first place. Since both arrived in the Premier League, Kudus has outperformed Antony in goals, assists, and overall impact. Antony has just 5 goals and 3 assists in 62 games, while Kudus has 11 goals and 7 assists in 57 games. United spent £85m on Antony, while Kudus was available for much less. Looking at those numbers, it’s a decision that doesn’t make much sense. With United in desperate need of creativity and direct attacking play, Kudus should be one of their top targets. He’d bring a mix of skill, power, and end product, something they thought they were getting with Antony but never really did. If United are serious about rebuilding, they can’t afford to miss out on Kudus again.
